Artist statement
Eliott Eds is a self-taught dyslexic artist, screenwriter, and director, born in Paris in 1992. Coming from extremely diverse social and cultural backgrounds, Eliott Eds approaches art as a way to bring people together and create a space for dialogue. Eliott captures childhood drawings on the refrigerator; these characters represent the child within us. More precisely, the childhood dream that we all carry and which, for some, has been forgotten and absorbed by reality. Overall, my research revolves around several axes: cultural and social diversity, structural ambivalence, existential duality, social fracture, and the construction of representations. Eliott Eds has participated in group exhibitions in New York and Paris: Flux Factory, Galerie Utens.
